Kaira: I am the founder and director of Kairafund.org, a philanthropic transition fund in Belgium that supports pioneers in social and ecological system change with coaching, network and funding.
Payment: I am paid for my work at Kaira for 1 day a week.
Expectations: None, my intention is that collaborating with Leap is strengthening the Belgian ecosystem in systems transformation to a more just society. This symbiosis has the potential to leverage transformation in the European philanthropic space and beyond.
Credit/Disclosure: Kaira will mention my involvement with Leap in its reports as part of its commitment to transparency.
Perspective: With Leap, I intend to empower the small and growing community on being honest in philanthropy, naming elephants in the room so philanthropy can be a tool to practice true transformation instead of being a tool to mask perpetuation of the injustices we are trying to systemically stop and transform. It energises me to contribute to facilitating experiments on how philanthropy can be done in a radically different way.
Potential conflicts of interest: There may be cases where potential donors to Leap could also support Kaira and potential donors to Kaira could also support Leap. I do not expect this to become a problem, since I am transparent with funders about my different roles in this. In case there could be such conflict, I will be transparent about this in both Leap and Kaira.
Leap: I am a member of the facilitation group and currently also have a coordination role for Leap for which I am paid as a freelancer for 2,5 days a week.
